FOR ALL THOSE SKEPTICAL THAT YOUNG CULTURE-SEEKERS FROM OVERSEAS WOULD COME TO DETROIT FOR WHAT IT ALREADY HAS - MUSIC: This weekend, November 14-16, I will play host to 3 young men from Paris who are traveling all the way from France just to experience the city that created the music they are most passionate about; Soul, Jazz, Motown, House, Techno, and even some Hip Hop.
These young men are promoters who produce an intnl dance party series in Paris called "InnerCity", for which I have booked several Detroit artists and DJs over the past few years.
These guys are traveling to Detroit in an off-season, with no festival to lure them, just so they can experience the raw feel of the environment that gave rise to both Motown and Techno. They want to be able to experience Detroit artists in the mix, live, in their own atmosphere, without filters.
They are stoked to finally be making it to Detroit, the place where they have been collecting music & literally importing artists from for the past several years!
They discovered my agency's website, Fusicology.com, and now have been using it as their guide to where they can find what they are looking for in Detroit!
